driving range balls

can you input characteristics of a driving range ball to trajectoware?

is the ball mass and/or ball diameter of a range ball different from a
regular ball?

i want to use a white pinnacle practice ball in trajectoware.

i see that these numbers are also the default values of

Bert, let's review the things about the ball that might be different.

WEIGHT AND SIZE: As you have noted, these are already the default values for TrajectoWare Drive.

BALL SPEED: The conventional wisdom is that range balls are "limited distance". The most obvious way to make this happen is to include enough loss at impact so the ball speed is reduced. The way you do that is to build the ball so its impact with a clubhead has a lower Coefficient of restitution (COR). There is a COR control in TrajectoWare Drive. So, if you can find the number for reduced COR of a range ball, you should be able to plug that into the program.

INITIAL SPIN RATE: I suspect range balls don't have as high a spin as the ball assumed by TrajectoWare Drive. Nothing you can do about this, if it turns out to be a problem.

AERODYNAMICS: I doubt this is a big difference between range balls and normal golf balls. If it is, then there is nothing you can do.
